
The Northern Belle lunch excursion from Chester should have gone down the
Conwy Valley line to Blaenau Ffestiniog but the line had recently been flooded
out, so the special was diverted to Holyhead. This isn't it, but a much earthier
ensemble - rail grinding devices preparing for weekend work on Anglesey.

It was a miserable day and it started to rain as 66 124 entered
Bangor station.

67 012 brought up the rear
