A day on the Coast

The view from the town walls as the Virgin HST makes its way towards London

After a relaxing few hours in this wonderful mediaeval town, I return in time to record the homeword journey of the flasks, with 20 303 again leading.

A quick swivel is needed to grab a better view of 37 608

Through the arch and away

This caught me by surprise! I'd long since assumed the Serco train had been cancelled, it being due back at Chester around 16:00. But at 16:20 with my camera packed away ready to catch the 16:36 departure back home to Bangor, 47 744 Royal Mail Cheltenham stole into the station. A desperate lunge for my camera was rewarded with a shot of the trailing locomotive, 47 756 Royal Mail Tyneside.
