The star of the day can now reverse a few miles back down the line to be reversed
on the Valley triangle while we enjoy a couple of pints in the beer garden
of a Holyhead hostelry.

When we returned, the Duke was already coupled and raring to go.

We left bang on time at 17:00 and I stood by an open window in a vestibule
enjoying the music.

We'd lost the sunshine by the time we reached Bangor. I sprinted over the
footbridge to join a small group of photographers recording the Duke's departure.

The Duke returned on 7th May 2005 with a St Albans to Holyhead charter, seen
