We were too busy to chase the engineering trains on the first Sunday but I
was lucky enough to catch a late running train of ballast spoil returning
from Anglesey on my way into work the following morning. 66 024
waits at Bangor for the class 175 unit to depart at 08:26 and clear the section,
then it'll follow it down the line.
Sunday 1st August 2004
The following Sunday found 60 033 Tees Steel Express
with Bangor station to itself, all passenger services west of Rhyl being replaced
by buses.
We headed east and spotted 66 109 between Bangor and Llanfairfechan
66 203 was at the other end
