First North Western Class 47 haulage 2002
First North Western re-introduced loco haulage for the summer timetable of
2002 to cope with low availability of class 175 units. The stock comprised
refurbished Mk II coaches from sister company First Great Western. 47
757 Restitution is seen at Bangor on 15th June
This locomotive is adorned with a cartoon as well as a name!
...and on its way to Holyhead. Only one diagram operated, making two return
trips daily between Birmingham New Street and Holyhead
