On Easter Saturday, 26th March 2005, Arriva ran a 09:30 Holyhead to Manchester
additional service, returning at 18:03. This was in anticipation of
Irish football fans travelling for the England v Northern Ireland World Cup
qualifier at Old Trafford.
The six coach rake was headed by 47 815 with 47 843 Vulcan at the rear.

We took the opportunity for a loco-hauled day out in Manchester, we may never
get another chance. We didn't see a single football fan on board so it was
a lovely peaceful ride. This is Llandudno Junction.
