The North Wales Coast Spring Gala 1999
Sunday 23rd May
At last a chance to travel on one of these trains! Rowan
and I were rewarded for our patience by the arrival of 37 411 and 37
429, the latter another past regular, bang on time to take us on the 30-minute
trip to Holyhead.
At Holyhead, first 411 then 429 was detached. The light was very poor by this
time and I was shooting into it, so my photographs at the terminus were disappointing.
Here are the best of them!
37 411 waits to run round
37 203 replaces 37 429
At Bangor the sun had reappeared but I had to run over the
bridge and along to the end of platform 2 to just grab a shot of the duo departing.
