Nunney Castle

The weather was foul but that wasn't going to stop our outing to Llandudno
Junction to see GWR Collett Castle 5029 Nunney Castle arrive
on a Birmingham to Holyhead excursion.
The figures on the road bridge must have been very wet. We were among a line
of photographers standing at the end of the platform canopy. On a day when
the rail network suffered serious delays due to emergency engineering work
and bad weather, 5029 was just a few minutes late, hard on the heels
of a delayed unit.
5029 waits to be watered.
The heavy rain pushed us back under cover, from where I grabbed this long
range shot before our visitor continued down the coast.
