47 847 snakes its way into the platform

We grabbed a shot of 47 815 then marched briskly down the
platform. As I boarded, an oafish rugby fan asked sarcastically if I'm a trainspotter
and I replied that I'm a photographer, which shut him up. The eight coach
train was pretty much full, with a few people standing and a few spare seats,
and a mixed clientele of Irish fans bound for the ferry, Welsh fans who'd
stayed over to party in Cardiff, and normal passengers.
I don't know how they'd all heard about the special - there was no mention on the Arriva website, none on the Millennium stadium site and I saw no posters advertising it.

There was a long wait at Rhyl, then we heard that 847 was in difficulty and
815 was to run round and take us on to Holyhead. Sunny Rhyl was living up
to its name, a contrast from cool and misty Shrewsbury, and we alighted to
record the scene.
