Having received a tip off that a 37 was working the nuclear flask train, I
took the afternoon off to photograph this rare event at Valley. Here are 37
612 and 20 303 on the Valley turning triangle.

This was the view from the other side of the tracks

And a closer view as the pair basked in the sunshine

Back at the station, 37 415 screams through with its four chocolate and cream
Mark 1s on the standby diagram, this being the 12.07 Birmingham NS to Holyhead
(1D71). The official last 37 hauled service ran on 30th December but class
175 failures resulted in a few excursions during January.

As soon as the express is out of the way, our train backs into the station
and returns north to Cumbria
