Holyhead on 2nd June
47 787 Windsor Castle brings 1D87 into Bangor on
3rd June
47 830 at Bangor on 11th June with the 09:20 Holyhead - Crewe
On the same day, 1D87 is hauled by 47 840 North Star
Two days later, and Sunday engineering work closed the line between Chester
and Crewe. Virgin ran their services as top and tail shuttles between Holyhead
and Chester. 47 787 Windsor Castle is leading ...
...while 47 750 is dead on the rear. This is the last time
I saw 750 on the move as two days later it suffered fire damage at Colwyn
Bay while hauling 1D87 and was dumped at Llandudno Junction awaiting the scrapman.
