We began our Easter trip to Yorkshire with 1A46 from Bangor to Crewe, 47 841
Spirit of Chester being in charge of the 09:19 Holyhead to Euston. While awaiting
our connection to Manchester, 56 081 trundled through with a couple
of tankers.

At Piccadilly we were treated to our first sighting of 47 829, newly
repainted in British Transport Police livery and looking amazing.
We pressed on to York to visit my parents, and the following day, March 28th, took the White Rose to Doncaster.

60 092 Reginald Munns was approaching as we stepped off, and
I just managed to catch it before it disappeared behind our train.
