A good start to the day... the 05:46 Holyhead to Euston, 1A13, is booked for
an HST set but today we were hauled by 47 789 Lindisfarne as
far as Crewe where it is detached by the shunter.
86 426 Pride of the Nation takes us along the electrified West
Coast Main Line and is seen here at rest in Euston station.
We walk to Paddington, passing this military parade on Oxford Street
We watched the Virgin 47s come and go but they were familiar to us... we were
here for the First Great Western action. Here's 47 813 SS Great
