Long Marston Open Day

Rowan and I made the long drive to Long Marston in
Staffordshire to see the stored locomotives and rolling stock. We set off very
early and arrived just after 11:00.
This
DMU was employed on a shuttle betweek the carp park and the far end of the site.
It travelled in a wide circle passing parts that were off-limits to the day
visitors so a trip was essential to see the whole of the site. We left our ride
until the end and walked along to see the stored elecric locomotives, victims of
Virgin's Pendolinos.
We passed these
hangers, reminders that this was formerly a Ministry of Defence site
And a line of wagons

alone...
