Warrington via Llandudno

Tuesday 9th October 2001

90 007 took us north, this locomotive bearing nameplates commemorating eminent railway journalist Roger Ford on one side and Modern Railways Magazine on the other.

The weather was brighter at Warrington. 66 049 arrived at 14:22 and sat there until 16:38. At 14:24 37 698 breezed past with the Blackburn to Arpley Yard enterprise working.

Not a great photo but it's a 37 so it's included!

And now for something completely different... Railtrack sandite unit DR98959 heads south at 14:43.

The unit passes 60 079 Foinaven which was stabled all day. It returned at 17:30

We think this was the 6P33 Carlisle to Chirk timber train passing at 15:45
