Sunday Doubles

Waunfawr is only half an hour's bike ride from home and the Welsh Highland
Railway's extension from Dinas had opened just a couple of weeks earlier so
off we went to see the run round. The Funkey diesel Castell Caernarfon
was poised for action at the far end of the temporary station. Christine and
Rowan wandered onto the platform while I returned to the road bridge to photograph
the action.
Running five minutes late, the ex-South Africa Garratt rounded the bend and
stopped at the bridge.
The Garratt was uncoupled and ran into the station
After a few minutes the diesel appeared and was coupled onto the train
