Home to Barmouth

Back in Gwynedd and the
National Park
We had no food for
breakfast so got off to an early start. Luckily there was
a shop open in the
village so we
bought cake and bananas
to keep us going, and we needed it
to
sustain us on the
climb up and
over the Berwyns and into Bala. We had an
early lunch
at the Siop y Gornel cafe then
soon started
climbing
again, and taking a very steep road
from Penmachno to avoid the A5. Exhausted, we stopped for
refreshments in Betws
y Coed, from where the A5 is the
only realistic option, though it wasn't too
busy by
now.
After 66 weary miles we
reached home, end of another great holiday.
