We looked round Limerick and eat a pizza before having a riding the loco-hauled train per week to Ennis. The 17:10 from Dublin which has arrived behind 211. The Small GMs were attached at the other end.
The coach we travelled in was part of the BREL International Train, built in
1986 as the demonstration train of BR loading gauge export vehicles and was sold
to Irish Rail from BR in 1995. 6208 is only coach which allowed to work
with standard Mark 3s, the rest is used on the Cu Na Mara (the Gaelic for
Connemara) train from Dublin to Galway.
We stayed on the train while the loco is running round at Ennis because of an 5 minute turnround which is very tight.
