Once a familar sight at Connolly, the Mark 3 push-pull used to work suburban trains to Drogheda, with a 121 (later a 201) in charge. All Dublin suburban trains are DMUs and the push-pulls moved to Heuston to work Intercity trains.

Two types of DART at Connolly. 8311 on the left was built in 1983 and 8616 on the right was built in 2001.
